Dear Friends of the Big Green Gathering
We are still here and things are progressing albeit at a fairly slow pace.
We are sorry that it has taken so long to send you new information but we have been meeting with accountants and lawyers over the past weeks since the cancellation of the Big Green Gathering.
Much of the time has been taken up with preparing witness statements for any court action that we might take. The lawyers have indicated that they feel we have a case to take forward and gathering the evidence is a long process.
Any court action will also take a long time. The more evidence we have, the better the chance of success.
As explained on the refunds page our finances are effectively frozen at the moment. Should we have a successful court action, which takes into account all the Big Green Gathering loss of earnings and the cost of the infrastructure that we had already paid for (nearly £300,000), we will be in a position to take the Big Green Gathering forward and ensure that our favourite festival takes place in future years. If you have anything that you think is relevant to our court case, please let us know.
