The Earth Energies & Divinatory Arts area have been offered a combined indoor & outdoor venue near Cardiff, Wales to hold an alternative to EEDA. We will have two full days of talks and workshops from many of the booked speakers and film screenings in the evenings. There will also be acoustic music, healing treatments, dowsing workshops, and divinatory arts.
It a fully legal venue and there will be no charge for the actual event. However, each person will have to contribute £10 per night for camping/live-in vehicles. The site has showers, sauna, an outdoor fire, a cafe & a decent talks/cinema space, so we have a great potential alternative to the EEDA area for what we do. There is limited space to erect small structures, & like the EEDA field, has a stone circle & also some beautiful woods on their land. The numbers are limited to 400 and it will be a private event, so please contact events@avalonrising.co.uk if you are interested or respond via our facebook group

Check out the REVIEW of the EEDA AREA 2006 (In pdf format)
A big green thank you to all those that attended and participated in the experiment that is the 'Earth Energies & Divinatory Arts' area at previous years events. The EEDA is now regarded as a 'Conference in a Field' and is attracting authors and researchers from fields as diverse as astrology, earth mysteries, consciousness, sacred geometry, environmental science, anthropology and spirituality. We even got a 5 page review in the spring 2007 edition of ‘Avalon Magazine’ that is linked above. Plus please join our new group on Facebook.
The 'Conference in a Field' theme continues into 2009, with a slight expansion in our field to accomadate speakers and workshop facilitators from the ESP area, who are no longer running their own field. Already booked we have Danu Forest, who has recently published 'Nature Spirits' with Wooden Books publishers. Other additions include Serena Roney-Dougal, Gregory Sams, Glennie Kindred, Gopal Das, Natalie Fee, Peter Taylor, Kevan Manwaring, Celia Gunn, Anthony Thorley and Rebekah Shaman. We also have some special guests who are yet to be confirmed, so keep checking back for updates.
Regulars such as Joy Youngman, Geoff Stray, Hugh Newman, Neil Oram, Holly Paige and Shaun Kirwan will be talking alongside new speakers Kate Masters, Gary Biltcliffe, Andy Thomas and Ashera Hart. New themes this year include 'Common Law' and how to become a 'Freeman' with special guest John Harris, plus skills in Bushcraft and Wild Food foraging. In all, there will be about 50 speaker and four full days of talks in two marquees and a workshop space called the Sky Dome; and that does not even include the shamanic workshops and bardic events in the Earth Space (in the quarry).
The Fernhill Farm Stone Circle
We also welcome back popular astrologers Jonathan Cainer and EEDA founder Steve Judd, who will be giving us their cosmic downloads in the Sun and Moon marquees.
The Wheel of Astrologers will be giving reading and workshops, as usual in their beautiful astrology garden. Divinatory arts such as Tarot, Runes, dowsing and tranceing will be available throughout the area and we have an entourage of Tibetan Monks frequenting our area.
This year we again have an Earth Space which is in the quarry at the back of the field, literally in the Earth! With decor by the 'Bridgit Garden', It has daily Shamanic workshops, Trance Dances, Dowsing training, Bushcraft skills, Wild-Food foraging & Herb gathering. In the night it turns in to an Esoteric Cinema. In 2007 the cinema screened numerous cutting-edge documentaries and films, that inspired, educated and entertained. Plus following on from the last event, the stone labyrinth will be beautifully lit-up during the evenings and the stone circle has become the areas 'moot', where people meet, ponder and hold talking circles. Late evenings will be dedicated to observing celestial phenomena with Cosmologist Dave Molz from www.onbrightsky.co.uk. Meet him and his team for Astronomical guided tours of the site in the stone circle. During the daytime you will find solar scopes that safely let you see sunspots and Coronas bursting from the Sun and take part in out of this world workshops in their glowing astro geodesic domes. See image below...
The Antiquarian Society will be returning for their third year with talks, films and teachings on archaeoastronomy and workshops in understanding the ingenuity of stone circle construction and their astronomical uses. More interesting discoveries have been found about the stone circle that was designed and built by John Martineau and Shaun Kirwan in 2005. Not only does it align perfectly with Stanton Drew stone circle and Priddy earthworks, it also perfectly forms a 'ley line' through Glastonbury Tor and the Woodhenge that was built by Shaun at the Sunrise Celebration site in South Somerset...click here to be amazed.
