When you step out of your temporary home for the five days you shall be met by bright & beautiful walkabout mayhem with an air of the bizarre to keep you amused and actively entertained. The Village Green will be a haven for brilliant open air theatre, workshops and of course a lovely place to sit for a picnic with your friends and family. Presenting outstandingly good fire shows in the evenings. In Quantum Leap: top quality facilitators will be offering invigorating, body flowing, mind grooving and heart singing performance based workshops, from Arabian dance, to laughter, Polka to African Drums, Ecstatic dance to Acappella harmonies. By Night Quantum leap evolves into a partytime atmosphere, presenting a multitude of excellent, beautifully organic and true to the earth performance.
It is a festival like no other, bringing together activists from all parts of the green movement and its collection of wind, solar and pedal-powered stages features some of the most outstanding musicians and performers in Britain today. They are not here for big fees or glory. They are here, like everyone else, because they want to support the event and because they too are a part of the movement.
Music? Yes, as ever at The Big Green we shall be in for a real treat when it comes to Big Green Music.
Music brings us together to celebrate life, encouraging positive participation, it inspires, offers hope and insight. Sharing stories, dreams and realities for Peace, the Planet & Humanity. A powerful expression, that there really can be another way.
The conscious music community just gets stronger and more beautiful all the time and it is certainly always an inspiring challenge as to which wonderful artists we are able to fit in each year.
So rest assured, whatever your taste there will be something here for you to lift your heart and tickle your toes including some well loved festival treasures and many new up and coming acts too. From traditional folk, to welldread stylie reggae, hip hop, and Carnival to eastern European and full on tribal dance with a cultural exchange from as far a field as Australia and Scotland and as near a field as Bristol, Cheddar and Glastonbury!
